Pictures from the weekend

Brady got to meet a new friend this weekend. Forrest and Dana came down to Houston with their new baby Gaines and stayed with us Friday night. The boys were so cute together! It was fun catching up with them.

The rest of the weekend was very relaxing. We didn't do too much- walked a couple times, ran a few errands, hung around the house and played with Brady!

Here are a few pictures from our week. Most of them are sleeping/relaxing... guess I didn't do a good job of getting many pictures this week!

9 month checkup

Brady had his 9 month checkup on Monday. He weighed a little over 20 pounds and was 27 3/4 inches long. He didn't have to get any shots this time which was pretty exciting (mostly for me!). The doctor said he is growing well and we talked about disciplining and weaning and all these things that I'm not quite ready for!

Weekend in Milam

Hooray!! She finally woke up!

9 months

Our little buddy is 9 months old today! 

He has hit so many milestones in the last couple weeks and seems to learn a new trick every day. His most notable milestone lately has been crawling, but here are a few other interesting facts about our boy at 9 months old:

-He's a little chatterbox. He says 'mama' all the time. We also have 'conversations' during the day where he'll go 'uh' and I'll say 'uh' back, and we'll just continue 'talking' to each other by making different sounds for a long time. I'm trying to get a good video of this to share. It is pretty funny.

-He loves to eat. I'm talking, big time. He gets food envy pretty bad if anyone around him is eating and he isn't. It's okay if it happens around people we know who will share their food (thanks, Eli!), but when it happens with random strangers at the library, well, it can get pretty ugly!

-He has started pulling up on everything. This has resulted in countless head bumps in the last several days. Most of the time he just brushes them off, but occasionally he gets one that makes him cry. He's getting tough!

On the move... makes getting pictures a little more difficult!

-Brady is extremely ticklish and loves to be tickled. His little laugh gets cuter every time I hear it. I just can't get enough!

-He is still a good sleeper. He goes to bed around 7/7:30 and wakes up any time between 5:30 and 6:30. He lays in bed with us for awhile after he wakes up and usually falls back to sleep for an hour or so. This is still one of my favorite times of day. It is so sweet.

-He enjoys our morning walks, which has become part of our daily routine since I am staying home with him. We also walk in the evenings with Blake when we can. Brady loves being outside and going for a ride in the stroller is a good way to calm him down if he's fussy.

-Willa is still his favorite 'person'. She can make him smile no matter how sad he is! They are so cute together.

-He doesn't have any teeth yet. Still sportin' that gummy smile!

-He is a very cuddly baby, which I'm hoping will last at least a little bit longer! If I'm laying on the floor and he spots me he crawls over to me as fast as he can, gives me a big ol' sloppy open-mouthed kiss on the face then lays his head right beside mine and starts sucking his thumb. It makes me so happy! He will sometimes lay with me in the glider or in the bed and we just cuddle for awhile. It is one of my favorite things. :)

Standing up

Brady is getting really good at standing up and 'walking' (with us holding his hands, of course). He is starting to pull up on everything and loves to play the stand up/sit down game for as long as Mama or Daddy will do it with him. :)

Weekly pictures - 6/22/14

We had a fun and busy week last week! Some of our friends from Dallas were in town Thursday night and they came over for dinner. We hadn't seen them since Brady was born so we really enjoyed catching up and letting them meet Brady. Friday we went to the pool with Courtnie, David, and baby Drew. The babies had so much fun splashing around in the water! Yesterday we met Lindsay and Joaquin for lunch and got to see the new house they are building, and last night we went to have burgers with some friends who have a little two month old daughter. It was so great getting to catch up with so many friends this week!

His first Chick-fil-A experience. He LOVED it, just like his Mama!
