Weekend love

I look forward to weekend mornings more than ever before since Brady joined our family. We spend lots of time cuddling up and being lazy together. I LOVE it!

Brady's new trick

Emi and Poppy taught Brady a new trick when there were in town a couple weekends ago. He wants to do it all the time now which is fine with me - the sound he makes is the cutest little thing!

We went to Stephen F. Austin state park yesterday to check it out for a future camping spot. We walked around one of the many trails there and just enjoyed the sunny day. It was so much fun! Uncle Drew was in town for the weekend so he came with us.

Brady is still on solely breastmilk and I'm hoping to keep it that way for at least another couple months, but we did let him try a popsicle and I think it's safe to say he loves them as much as his daddy does (which is a LOT, for those of you who have never seen our freezer!).

Well, we finally moved Brady to his own room a couple weeks ago when he was 4 months old. He is sleeping like a champ! It was hard at first and still is sometimes... I really enjoyed having everyone sleep in our room, it was so cozy and sweet. I guess he can't sleep in there forever, though, so it was time to move him out. Luckily we have a video monitor that has made the whole thing much easier. It's fun to watch him wiggle his way into all his favorite sleeping positions.

He doesn't really cry in the morning... sometimes I have to go wake him up so we can start our morning routine and sometimes he wakes up on his own and just lays there until someone comes to get him. Morning time is so much fun with him here. I always look forward to seeing him in the morning. It's crazy how much I miss him when he goes to sleep!

Weekend with Emi and Poppy

Blake and I went to Fredericksburg last weekend to celebrate my friend Savannah's 30th birthday. It was my first night away from Brady. We had a lot of fun but missed him so much. We kept looking at pictures of him all throughout dinner and talking about how much we love him. Total parent move. :) Mom and dad drove to Houston for the weekend to stay with Brady. I love having them here and of course Brady had a great time! Here are some pictures mom and dad sent me while we were gone.
