Happy Halloween!

I've been dying to share these ridiculously cute pictures with you all! These are from our church's "Trunk Treats" that we attended last Sunday night. We weren't sure if Brady would have fun or if he would even care that we were there, but let me tell you - he had a blast! He ran around in his adorable chicken outfit pointing out balloons and picking candy from the baskets.

"Balloon? Balloon?" (His favorite costume there was someone dressed up as the guy from the movie 'Up' because she had a bunch of balloons tied to her.)

He found some Aggie yell-leader friends and went over to have a little chat with them:

And of course he found the two dogs there and would not leave that area. Every time we held his hand and walked off he would turn around and walk real fast back over to the dogs. He couldn't get enough of them!

And now for my favorite video of all time:

These next pictures are ones we took at home right after we put him in his costume. He never complained about it; I think he kinda likes it!

We are off to my parents' church's Halloween event tonight so I'm sure we'll have more chicken pictures for you next week! Happy Halloween, everyone!

Pumpkin patch

Last weekend we went to Dewberry Farm with some of our friends to let the kids play and check out the pumpkin patch. It was a perfect day to be outside and the babies loved riding around in the wagon!

Brady loved the animals the best (imagine that!).

After we left Dewberry Farm we stopped in Bass Pro. There are so many interesting things there! Brady loved petting all the mounted animals and was enamored with the fish in the big tank.

This is Blake's attempt at convincing me we need a boat. Ha!

Weekend cookout and weekly pictures

Last weekend Blake cooked a bunch of meats on his new smoker for us and some of our friends. Andrew and Jessica were here for the weekend and we invited a few other folks for the cookout Saturday. Let me tell you, my husband can cook!! He is SO good on the grill/smoker. He cooked a huge brisket (amazing!) and a couple racks of ribs (fall off the bone!). He's been wanting me to come up with a good potato salad recipe for when we cook out and I think I got it down pretty good last weekend! We had a fun time hanging out and eating great food.

Sporting maroon and white even though the Aggies were pathetic last weekend.

My friend Carly and her son Mason (7 months).

And here are a few other pictures from the week:
Picking pecans. He loves walking around the yard gathering nuts. Such a little squirrel!

Mistreated.

We had a special treat last week: Aunt Jeannie and bumble-bee Bella came to see us! Brady and Bella looooove each other. They always have a fun time playing together.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Weekly pics - 10/20/14

Brady and I had a fun and busy week last week! We started off the week with a trip to the zoo with our friends Kate and Fiel. It was Brady's first time at the zoo, and my first time to go to the Houston zoo since I was a kid. Brady loved the baby elephant the best, and kept calling all the animals Willa.

The next day, we went to a place called Happy Playland with Courtnie and Drew. It is an indoor play park close to our house that has different toys and structures that the kids can play with/on. Brady's favorite part was going down the slide - that was so much fun for him! He is becoming more independent when he plays; I really enjoy watching him walk around and entertain himself with different activities.

I couldn't resist posting this picture of Drew giving Brady a kiss. They love to kiss each other! It is soooo funny.

Showing off for the ladies!

We also met Blake for lunch one day. Brady loved the free ice cream at the end of the meal (duh!).

And we played outside a lot! The weather was perfect. Brady loves to push things around (chairs in the house, a riding zebra that Aunt Jeannie got him, and whatever else he can push), so it is especially fun for him to push this truck around outside. He's turning into a little boy!!

We topped off the week with a big cookout Saturday and a pumpkin patch visit Sunday. Pictures to come!
