Easter Egg Hunt at Church

We went to the church Easter egg hunt last Saturday morning. Brady got to hunt with the big kids which was so much fun. He only got knocked down and trampled on once... :)

Another stamp in one of the eggs... we all had stamps all over us by the end of the day.

And just look at Brady's facial expressions in these next few photos... this is what he does every time we try to take a picture now!

And one of Walker chilled out after our big morning!

Walker - 3 months!

Our boy turns 3 months today! We've had a really great couple weeks with him and his happy personality is starting to come out more and more. He's been sleeping a little bit better and I can tell that he's an overall happier baby. We've had a few nights of sleeping through the night; and other nights he'll wake up any time between 3 and 5. So we're getting there! I'm just getting more and more obsessed with him the older he is; I just can't get enough!

I'm not sure on his weight and height at this point, but he's still in size 2 diapers and wearing size 3-6 month clothes. He is a chunky little thing; I think chunkier than Brady was at this age:
(Brady around 3 months)

-Walker has really started sucking on his hands a lot and has found his thumb to suck on several times this week (video below).

-He seems to be in the middle of a growth spurt; he's had a few days this week where all he does is sleep and eat. Usually he stays awake for a bit between feedings.

-He doesn't really cry much, just fusses a bit when he's hungry or overtired. Overall he has become a really happy baby. I know they go through phases when they are babies but his 2nd month was definitely the most difficult thus far. He was pretty fussy that month... not sleeping well, crying for a long time before he fell asleep, etc.

-He has the glassiest blue eyes that I wish I could capture on camera! They are so beautiful. I hope they are like that always, but I realize they will probably dull down as he gets older. Maybe I can get a good picture of them so that I can always remember (lucky for me I have the best photographer in the world as a sister!).

-Brady has started calling him sweet cheeks, sugar bug, bubby, sweetheart, etc. Basically anything I call Walker when I'm playing with him Brady will pick up and start calling him later on that day or the next day. He pulls out all kinds of names for him. It's so cute.

And a few outtakes of Brady trying to make him smile... hmmm...

He loves bathtime, finds it very relaxing. Well, except when his big brother wants to help and pours a cup of water all over his face!

Here is his thumb sucking video:

Easter Parade

Brady had his Easter parade at school this morning. All the kids wore their Easter hats and marched through the church on their way to chapel.

He kept looking back at Blake and me to make sure we were still there :)

And all was well until we saw the Easter bunny and Brady lost it. Oh my goodness. He was terrified. He didn't even get close to the bunny but you'd think that thing had snatched him up and run off with him. Most of the kids in his class were pretty horrified by the bunny but Brady just couldn't get past it. He cried all through chapel and finally his teacher brought him down to be with me. It was so sad!
But not so sad that I couldn't snap a couple pictures.... :)

He's still at school right now and I am crossing my fingers hard that the bunny doesn't show up at his class party. He's not gonna like that one bit.

Update: When the boys and I were walking after school this afternoon I asked Brady if he was excited about his Easter party tomorrow and he said "No, I don't want to see the Easter bunny!" and then went on to tell me that he was scared and did not like the bunny. I told him about how when I was little (and not so little) I was also afraid of the Easter bunny but that he was nice and there is nothing to be afraid of. And he said "Yeah I was scared too, mommy." So then I told him that the Easter bunny brings candy and he said "Oooooh, I like Easter bunnies!"

Later this evening when Blake got home he gave Brady a piece of candy and said it was from the Easter bunny. Brady gladly accepted it and ate it, then about twenty minutes later came up to me and said "Easter bunny not here is he? He went back to the forest?" He was very concerned that the bunny came here and stuck around. Poor kid.

And a couple pictures from after school with his Easter basket surprises. He was so excited to get home and crack open the eggs!

Life lately

Here is a little catch-up of what we've been up to lately!

Nana and Grumps came to see us a few weeks ago. It was so nice having the extra help and Brady loved having more people to play with!

Brady loves to have popcorn in bed when he gets home from school on Mondays and Tuesdays. I walked in there the other day and found him with a piece of popcorn in his ear.

Our beloved Aunt Jeannie came to see us a couple weeks ago! She is so much fun!

We had a visit from Jade and Drew during their spring break last week. Brady loved having an extra biking buddy!

Walker has had a couple really good weeks. He's been sleeping a little better and has been a very pleasant baby. He's especially happy in the mornings and smiles until he just can't stand it anymore and has to look away. Sweetest!

Saturday afternoon snuggles:

With the beautiful weather we've been having we've spent lots of extra time outside. Brady loves to lay out the 'picnic blanket' for lunch or just to lay around outside for a bit.

Brady went into the garage and got Blake's fertilizer machine (no clue what that thing is called!) and I told Brady, "That's not a toy!" and he said, "Yes it IS a toy! It's a monster machine!"

And a couple more of our sweet, smiley boy:
