Blake's fishing tournament

On the same day we went to the hospital to have Brady, one of Blake's close friends from high school went missing on Lake Texoma. He was fishing that day and some other fishermen found his boat and all his belongings, but he was not there. The next day, the day Brady was born, they found Gabe's body. He had suffered an unfortunate health issue while he was fishing... he left behind his wife and one-year-old son. Words cannot describe the sadness. It's difficult to even think about.

Last weekend Blake and Uncle Drew fished in a memorial fishing tournament that was put on to help Gabe's family. They won first place! Blake had a great time fishing with his brother and they were able to raise a lot of money for the family. It was a fun day for the guys and was a great way to honor Gabe.

Grumps, Nana, Aunt Jade, Brady, and I went to the weigh-in that afternoon... Brady had a fun time walking around and playing. Someone there had an adorable little puppy that Brady took an immediate liking to!
