Easter 2017

Happy Easter! We had a great Easter weekend and I hope you did too!

We started our Easter celebration Saturday morning with an egg hunt at our church. Brady was super into it ("Do you think I'm gonna win the Easter egg hunt, mom?? I hope I do!") and Walker was semi-interested.

After our church egg hunt, we went over to Courtnie's house for lunch with her family. The kids had so much fun together, but of course we waited until naptime to try to get a picture of them, resulting in this:

(This is Drew getting onto Brady because he said he won the egg hunt. She said "NO! I won!" and he said "NOOO! I WON!" Quite hilarious.)

Once we got home and got the boys napped, we just hung around the house and played outside.

Brady got an Easter card from Nana which he was thrilled about! The day before, Walker's card came in the mail and Brady said "Why does Walker always get mail?" Haha, what is he talking about?!

Brady helped me make some Easter cupcakes for our lunch on Sunday.

On Easter morning, the boys dug into their Easter baskets and loaded up real good on sugar before we headed out for church.

Brady read Walker his new Easter book...

...and then tackled him.

We enjoyed a great Easter service at church. They always have a 'live cross' out front where you can take a flower and stick it in the cross and by the end of all the services it looks beautiful covered in flowers!

Then came home and started on Easter lunch. It was my first time to cook the traditional Easter lunch (ham, potatoes, salad) and I have to say it turned out great! I remember my mom always making an Easter ham and I wanted to carry on the tradition. We had our friends and their daughter over for lunch and had such a great time. I love cooking and entertaining!

Brady did some more work to his 'burn pile'. (Not quite like the one in the country but it'll do for a city burn pile!)

The boys helping Daddy trim the tree. They loved this! "Tiiiimberrrrr!!" over and over and over...

Brady hollering for the 'poop monster' after he realized Walker had poop in his diaper!

Brady's favorite eggs were the confetti eggs that you throw at people/crack over their heads and confetti goes everywhere. He called them 'trick eggs' and has been asking for them over and over since Easter!
