Brady funnies

We had been gone for a week (them at Emi and Poppy's; us on vacation), and when we got home Brady ran a circle throughout the house then stopped and said "Mama I glad to be home!"

We were walking the other day and I said "Thanks for walking with me!" and he said "You're welcome. Thank you for using your manners!"

I sent him up to his room yesterday (twice before 8am!) and told him not to come back down until he was ready to act right. A couple minutes later I saw him at the bottom of the staircase and I said, "Are you ready to act right?" and he nodded and I said, "Okay, come finish your breakfast then we can play with your blue car.", and he said, "Ohhhh yeah that'd be mighty fine!"

When we're in the car I'll ask him what Walker is doing and he'll look over there and say, "Walkie paaaast asleep."

When he asks to do something and I say no, he says "No, yes." or "Girls don't say no!" or "Noooo, you gonna make me saaaaad!"

He loooves to be cozy. He asks me to get him cozy several times a day. The other day I tried to put a 'regular' blanket on him (not a soft fuzzy one) and he said "No, not that blanket! That not cozy!!"

Says "ummm, maybe in two weeks" or "Maybe Sunday?" a lot.

When he was staying with Mom and Dad, Dad taught him the word "urinate", which to Brady sounds like "your-inate", so now when Brady has to teetee he says "I need to go my-nate".

He wants to do everything "all by myself".
"I wanna cook all by myself!"

Says "I wanna do it again" all the time. Before he's even done doing what he's doing, he'll say "I wanna do it again." We were in the pool letting him swim back and forth between me and the stairs and before he even lifted his head fully out of the water he said "I wanna do it again" while gasping for air.

He is getting very competitive and wants to win all the time (in the car, answering questions, going down the stairs, etc.). He wants to beat everybody at everything.

He asks permission before he does anything. I can't tell you how many times a day I hear "Can I...?" Here was one of our conversations yesterday:
B: Can I throw this away? (holds up a cup of snacks)
M: Yes.
B: Can I throw it outside?
M: Yes.
B: Can I dump it out?
M: Yes.
Brady dumps out the snacks...
B: Mama can I set my cup down?
M: Yes.
B: On the grass?
M: Yes.

I was cooking dinner last night and had to crack eggs into a bowl for something I was making. Brady normally cracks the eggs for me when we make eggs and sausage for breakfast. When he heard me cracking the eggs last night he ran into the kitchen and said "MOM! Don't forget about your buddy!"
